What is Project Restoration?

Project Restoration is a multi-church effort to re-build a facility for the Nancy Cole Women's Home in Lima, Peru and to solicit monthly support for the operation of the home.  A missions team from Virginia visited Lima in July of 2005 and was challenged to support this wonderful ministry.  The home currently houses 30+ women and teenage girls who have faced abuse and addiction issues.  The home, founded by Pastor Lilliam Cossios-Merino, is located in La Victoria and reaches out to homeless and displaced women.  The original building was in terrible physical condition and a new building is being erected as of August, 2006.  This site will provide updates on the construction project and will provide information on how individuals, churches, civic groups, foundations and other entities can support this worthwhile ministry.  Questions should be directed to Dale and Sheryl Baird, Coordinators of the Project.  Contributions can be mailed to Project Restoration, P.O. Box 31, Ebony, VA 23845.  As of August 1, 2006, Project Restoration has received a matching challenge grant of $35,000.  For every dollar that you give, this anonymous organization will match it up to $35,000.
