"Daughters of the King" Banquet

The fourth "Daughters of the King" Banquet brought together the mission's teams from Virginia and Mariners Church of California.  After a morning of spa activities, classes, Bible study and fellowship, the residents assembled in the chapel.  After receiving their own personal name sash, each girl and lady was escorted to the beautiful new dining hall, where special place settings featured their individual pictures and gift bags.  They were served a dinner of roasted chicken, potatoe fries, corn on the cob, vegetable salads, rolls, and delicious pastries.  A program followed the banquet, which included dance presentations from the residents, music, recognition of supporting churches, and a sermon from Pastor Dale on "Four Women Who Jesus Set Free."  Fifteen girls accepted Christ.  Team members then prayed with each resident individually.  It was truly a moving experience.
