EXCITING NEWS:  Vessels of Mercy has donated the funds to purchase five sewing machines for the Dorcas Sewing Room.  The company has agreed to provide free ongoing training and technical assistance for the program so that the women and girls can learn a marketable skill.  They will be able to make clothes to be used at the home and this can be used as a fund raising project for the operation of the home.  They will also be able to make towels.  The second phase, which needs adoption, would provide several machines that could make jeans.  Thanks to Bev Gibson, Brenda Freeman and Vessels of Mercy for sponsoring this exciting project.  This group was responsible for the wonderful outdoor mural at the home and they have sent two week-long teaching teams.  You can find out more about their incredible world-wide ministry at www.vesselsofmercy.org.
